NQ Defence Veterans Golf Club Inc. (“the Club”) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Townsville, Queensland. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to us.

What we collect

When you contact us, register for an event, or apply for membership, we may collect:

Name, email address, and phone number
Postal address, date of birth, and emergency contact details (membership applications)
Golf-related details such as club affiliation or Golf Link number (if provided)
Defence service branch (membership applications)
Payment method preference and messages you send us

Why we collect it

We use your information to:

Process membership applications and manage club membership
Respond to enquiries and event registrations
Send membership-related communications (such as welcome or renewal reminders)
Administer club activities, safety, and records

How we store and share it

Form submissions are delivered to the Club by secure email services (Web3Forms and, as a backup, FormSubmit). Membership records may also be stored in a Google Sheet managed by the Club committee. We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only where needed to operate the Club — for example, with payment providers when you choose to pay online, or where required by law.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Google may collect anonymised usage data according to its own privacy policy.
